Last month, our colleague, Mr. Didi Wildeman, provided a multi-day masterclass on Performance Management & Reorganization to HR managers and executives. She gave this masterclass together with HR consultant Edmina Strickx.
The programme was positively received by the participants, partly due to the enthusiasm of the trainers and the interactive approach. One of the aspects that was discussed during the masterclass is performance management. Performance management involves a systematic approach to planning, assessing and improving the performance of employees. Performance management also plays a role in reorganisations. It helps to map the strengths and weaknesses of the workforce, which enables the organisation to make the right decisions regarding redeployment, restructuring and possible dismissals.
The trainers also discussed employment law aspects and points of attention for HR during reorganizations. Reorganizations are goal-oriented processes in which an organization makes structural changes. They may be necessary to improve efficiency, to reduce costs or to make the organization more effective and better aligned with the objectives. It is inevitable that employees will be affected, such as forced dismissal or a deterioration of employment conditions.
One of the most inspiring aspects of this masterclass was the practical approach to the subjects, according to the participants. In addition to theory, our training focuses on practicing the material and having discussions with other professionals. This enables participants to understand the theory in a realistic context.
