The Legally Minded Podcast is a podcast in which we talk about current legal topics. Matters that we encounter in our practice. What we see a lot is that, especially entrepreneurs and organizations, engage a lawyer or legal advisor far too late and when they do, it is usually already five to twelve!
The desire is to be able to grow safely and to be able to do business safely and to be able to do that, there must at least be a good foundation. If you don't have this, you see that once that growth is there, it is increasingly difficult to do what you are actually good at.
With this podcast we want to make entrepreneurs and organizations aware that it is good to have a legal discussion partner. Especially in cases where you do not yet have to go to court or when "the house is not yet on fire".
In the first episode of the podcast, Mr. Didi Wildeman and Mr. Jessottiz Baart introduce themselves. Together with 3 other colleagues, they form Wildeman Legal.

Mr. Wildeman has been a lawyer in Curacao for nine years and started her own practice because she wanted to do things differently than the traditional law firms. She wanted to make sure that people felt comfortable when they sit in her chair. A bit of involvement from a lawyer is very important!
In addition to being a lawyer, Mr. Wildeman is also a mediator. Mediation is mainly the guidance of negotiations. These can be negotiations between employee and employer, between two business parties or family law. During conflict mediation, it is important that there is a neutral party at the table, who enables the parties to listen well to each other's interests. And to ensure that you make agreements that are also sustainable.
